The International Make-up Academy (TIMA) run a number of  make-up courses in Dublin.

ITEC One Year Full Time Diploma Course (Unit 10, 22, 41 & 42)

Let TIMA take you on a journey to start your Make-up career…

Through many years of experience in the Makeup Industry, TIMA has the course to help you start your Makeup Career. This course has been designed in such a way that once you finish with us you are fully prepared to enter the working world. Once completed, you will leave with your ITEC Certificate in Make-up, as well as your ITEC Diploma in Fashion, Theatre and Media Make-up, which is an International qualification.

Hours : Monday – Thursday 10am – 4pm

(Class days are Monday to Wednesday and Thursday is a home day for writing up your inspiration, face charts and step by step for you case studies for that week)

Dates: 18th Sept 2017 – 10th May 2018

INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNISED ACCREDITATION

Course investment: €3,500. (includes course fees, ITEC exam fees, makeup brushes, makeup kit and special fx kit)

Deposit: € 700 to confirm booking (balance can be paid by 7 monthly instalments of €400.)

9. Palette and spatula.
10. Exfoliating sponge.
11. Head band
12. Hair dryer (when we’re covering Special FX)

We will provide your Makeup brushes and all the make-up and airbrush for the duration of your course.

On all courses we will work out an action plan to help you gain work in your desired area. You will also get to participate in professional photo shoots and work experience to build your all important portfolio.

TIMA “Hair Up-styling Workshop”

Sunday 1st October 2017.

Hours : 10am to 4.15pm

A fun yet very informative Hair Workshop designed to show you how to achieve quick classic and creative hair up styles.

The TIMA 5 Week “Intro to Make-up” course is ideal for beginners hoping to start working as a Make-up artist with a cosmetic brand name, doing make-up for Weddings, Debs, or for Hairdressers wishing to offer Make-up as part of their services.

Hours:
Midweek Course :

Cost: € 600

TOPICS:

  • Basics – getting comfortable with skin. Cleansing, skin types/ tones, face shapes, eye shapes, contouring, correcting, camouflaging, perfecting your base. Day & Evening – using different textures/ mediums
  • Bridal, application of false lashes, photographic, how make-up changes for colour and black & white photography, effects of lighting.
  • Airbrushing
  • You will also get to participate in professional Photo Shoots with a professional photographer, models and hair stylist to build your all important portfolio.

Work experience is given to students that are willing and suitable to go out on many different projects. Our current student’s work experience has included Fashion Shows, Photo Shoots, Masterclasses, Rimmel Promotions, Short Films, Corporate events, Charity events and Editorial work.

TIMA will provide professional Certification of your qualification in this field.

Our ITEC “Certificate in Make-up” is suitable for beginners covering Skincare and all the Makeup basics, Day, Evening, Special occasion, face shapes, skin tones, corrective make-up, camouflage through to Bridal make-up. You also get to cover Airbrushing on this course.

MIDWEEK COURSE :

Hours : 9 weeks part time Monday and Tuesday evenings 6pm to 9pm.

Dates : 

25th Sept. to 21st Nov. 2017.

Closed Bank Holiday Mondays so classes will be on Tuesday & Wednesday those weeks.

WEEKEND COURSE:

Hours : 9 weeks part time Saturday 10am to 4.30pm.

Dates :

23rd Sept. to 18th Nov. 2017.

FULL TIME COURSES:

Hours : Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 10am to 4.30pm.

This course is run over 3 weeks on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 10am – 4.30pm (9 days in total)

INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNISED ACCREDITATION

Cost: €990. Includes ITEC exam and Make-up kit

The kit we give consists of concealer, foundation, powder, blusher, bronzer, highlighter and some eye shadows.

There are no additional charges.

Deposit: € 300 to confirm booking and balance can be paid by agreed instalments.

* As this is an ITEC qualification you may be eligible for funding through Social Welfare. Please contact your local Social Welfare office for the relevant form and we will be happy to complete this application for you.

Our ITEC “Fashion, Theatre and Media (International) Diploma” is an ideal course that will enable students to work professionally in every aspect of the make-up world and is highly recommended as this is an Internationally Recognised Qualification.

Day time course:

Hours : Monday – Thursday 10am – 4pm

(Class days are Monday to Wednesday and Thursday is a home day for writing up your inspiration, face charts and step by step for you case studies for that week)

Barbering Training Day:

Sunday 8th October 2017 10am-4pm

A fun yet very informative Barbering Training Day with Award Winning Barber Frank Hackett from Retro Barber Academy:

Frank will supply necessary equipment on the day and also provide you with an equipment list of things you will need for the future.

Students are required to bring a model for the afternoon session from 1.15pm until 3.30pm*

Your model should have a number 3/ 4 back and sides or 5 weeks since their last hair cut.

*If you need a model please let us know in advance as we may be able to help you find a model.

Total cost: €170.
